ASU to UCLA Swim Challenge

From Oct. 22-27, in honor of the ASU vs. UCLA homecoming game and the Pac-12 Fitness Challenge, you can participate in this aquatic fitness challenge meant to motivate swimmers of all levels to swim and exercise regularly. Participants can water walk, aqua jog, or swim their way through the challenge – the main point is to get in the water and realize the benefits of working out at the pool! 

How to Participate:

  • Track your daily yardage using the online form from Oct. 22 at 6 a.m. to Oct. 27 at football kickoff. 

Step 3:

  • Those who complete the challenge and swim the distance to UCLA will win a prize!

How it Works:

There are three levels of the challenge to choose from:

Maroon (Easy Pace), Gold (Medium Pace), Sparky (Fast Pace)

ASU to UCLA is 376 total miles, yardage is based on the formula below:

Level Formula Total Distance Prize for those who swim the total distance
Maroon (Easy Pace)

1 lap (50 yards) = 5 miles

75 laps (3,750 yards)

rally towel & water bottle
Gold (Medium Pace)

1 lap (50 yards) = 4 miles

94 laps (4,700 yards)

rally towel & water bottle
Sparky (Fast Pace)

1 lap (50 yards) = 2 miles

188 laps (9,400 yards)

Participants who reach UCLA will be contacted on Monday, Oct. 29 to claim their prize!
