Quest Programs

Quest Programs offer supplementary adventures kids can enjoy, in addition to the activities provided through Sun Devil Kids' Camp. Quest Programs activities are designed to add extra excitement to your child's week at camp. Here are the details:

  • Kids can choose from an array of outings.
  • All Quest Programs have a different price and length.
  • Transportation to and from event provided.
  • Sign up for Quest Programs at registration.
  • Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis by families enrolled in the Sun Devil Kids' Camp program. Space is limited and fills up fast!
  • Minimum of six participants per event; maximum of 20.
  • No refunds or transfers.

Ability 360, formerly known as SpoFit, advocates personal responsibility by and for people with disabilities as a means to indepenence. Campers will get to climb the rock wall, participate in some unique games, and even get to play wheelchair basketball! At the end of this trip, your child will have a greater understanding and appreciation for what great athletes many people with disabilities truly are!
Air WorxCost: $30Sessions 3 & 8

Air Worx provides freestyle trampolines and two dodgeball areas plus Slamdunk basketball! It also has an area for kids 7 years and under with a climbing and sliding inflatable and aeroball court, so there is fun for everyone!
Amazing Jake'sCost: $40Sessions 2 & 10

Amazing Jakes is a kid’s fantasy land, with hundreds of arcade games, rides, and even movie-themed lunch rooms! Campers will enjoy their choices of activities such as go-karts, bumper cars, a carousel, and other arcade games, as well as access to an unlimited pizza and salad buffet!
AMF BowlingCost: $25Session 8

1 - 3:30 pm.
Time for campers to show off their awesome bowling skills against their fellow campers and counselors! If your child is not a borderline professional, that’s fine – we will have lanes with bumpers, and they’re probably still better than the counselors anyway. They will be provided with shoes and multiple games so it will be a good time!
Arizona DiamondbacksCost: $30 per gameSession 6

11 am. – 4:30 pm.
Campers will enjoy one of America’s favorite pastimes by spending the afternoon at the ballpark! Campers and counselors will go to Chase Stadium to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks play the Los Angeles Dodgers (Session 3) or Toronto Blue Jays (Session 8). There’s no better way to spend a summer afternoon!
Arizona Science CenterCost: $25Session 10

For those campers that love having fun and learning at the same time! With countless exciting interactive demonstrations and new exhibits every summer, this promise to be an eye-opening experience. We will also see a 3D movie as a group!
As You Wish PotteryCost: $35Sessions 4 & 6

1- 4 pm.
As You Wish is a pottery studio where campers will get to select their own pre-made pottery and decorate it, perhaps as a gift for a parent (or maybe their favorite counselor). The artists will get to spend a cool afternoon inside, making something that they can keep for years to come!
Big SurfCost: $40Session 3

There’s no better way to cool off this summer than an afternoon at Big Surf Waterpark in Tempe! Big Surf provides water slides and attractions for all ages (and heights). From the Otter Slides to the Hurricane Slides, everyone will have something fun to do on this exciting afternoon.
Butterfly Wonderland and Mirror MazeCost: $30Session 10

Butterfly Wonderland takes flight as one of the newest attractions in the Valley with a highly innovative, indoor rainforest environment featuring the larget butterfly pavilion in America. Also this year we will walk next door and check out the Mirror Maze!
Chuck-E-CheeseCost: $20Session 9

Campers will enjoy a pizza party at Chuck-E-Cheese, complete with pizza, soda, and complimentary tokens for the arcade. Send your camper to "the place where a kid can be a kid" for a great afternoon of fun!
GolflandCost: $25Session 2

Golfland is an amusement park that offers many fun activities, including miniature golfing and an arcade. Campers will enjoy a round of golf, competing for their own personal best or against their counselors and fellow campers, as well as the opportunity to play games in the huge arcade!
Ice Skating (no lesson)Cost: $25Session 9

11 am. – 3 pm.
Ice skating is a great way to escape the heat of our Arizona summers and gives parents an opportunity to get some more use out of those “winter clothes”. Kids will enjoy a few hours on the ice with their friends and counselors!
JumpstreetCost: $35Session 4 & 9

1 – 4:30 pm.
Campers will enjoy a few hours at this indoor trampoline gym. Where else can you jump on a trampoline, and then bounce off a wall of trampolines? Play trampoline dodge ball!? Exercise has never been so much fun! There is even a special area for children 7 and under, so everyone is guaranteed to have a great time!
Kiwanis Wave PoolCost: $20Session 8

Is your child interested in going to a waterpark this summer but maybe on a smaller scale than other options? Kiwanis Recreation Center provides just the right place for them. Not only does it house their famous wave pool but there are multiple slides to provide all the watery thrills they can handle!
LasertagCost: $35Session 4

12:30 - 4:30 pm.
We will be traveling to the Stratum Laser Tag Center in Mesa, Arizona, the world's largest techno-tainment laser tag area and entertainment center! Each child will complete three intergalactic missions with their fellow campers and counselors, and can track their progress with take-home scorecards and coupons (when they want to go back to show off their skills)!
Makutu's IslandCost: $25Sessions 5

Makutu's Island, one of America’s largest indoor play places, is a trip into fantasy and adventure for children of all ages and a perfect way to beat the Arizona heat. Designed with a tropical theme, Makutu’s is a lush, exciting indoor “island” with towering trees, climbs, bungee, zip tracker, arcade, café, theater, and mysterious caves. Kids will get two pieces of pizza, a drink with souvenir cup, and entry into the facility!

Odysea AquariumCost: $40Session 7

OdySea Aquarium offers an entertaining, interactive, and educational experience for guests of all ages by combining theme-park-style amusement with highly engaging presentations of aquatic life like no other in the industry. The facility includes a 3D theater, SeaTREK™ underwater ocean walking, and a one-of-a-kind voyage through the “Living Sea.”
Peter Piper PizzaCost: $20Session 6

Who doesn’t enjoy an afternoon at Peter Piper!? Campers will enjoy a pizza and soda party, and have access to their limitless arcade. This is a great opportunity for campers to have a fun time outside of the normal camp schedule with all their new friends!
Phoenix Children’s MuseumCost: $20Session 3

The Phoenix Children’s Museum is a great place to beat the heat this summer by enjoying their many indoor exhibits and play areas. The museum provides such fun activities as an art studio, Building Big construction zone, Desert Delights play area, Noodle Forest, Pedal Power tricycle track and model car racing!
Rock ClimbingCost: $25Session 5

Seek adventure! No experience necessary - even if you've never touched a rope in your life, you will learn the skills needed to climb safely, and always be supported by a staff member. Campers always have a blast, whether bouldering across the bottom of the walls or scaling to the top!
Sea Life Aquarium and Lego LandCost: $30Session 10

Sea Life Aquarium is back and better than ever, but now includes a lego twist! With sharks, dolphins, fish, and more interactive exhibits than you could ever imagine, this trip never disappoints. Also opening this year is Lego Land! Campers will spend the first half of this quest at Sea Life and then will head next door to Lego Land to round out their afternoon.
SunsplashCost: $40Session 4

12 - 4:30 pm.
Sunsplash Waterpark provides a variety of fun water activities for campers. They could race across the lily pads in the Activity Pool or try to race a friend or counselor on the Bonzai Speed Slides. Maybe they just want to relax and float on the Endless River. Or maybe they want to try everything! Whatever they choose, it will be a great time.
Swim LessonsCost: $20Sessions 2 - 10
Mornings
Monday each week, the instructor will conduct a swim test on all the swimmers to make sure they will be placed in a class which will help them be the most successful in the water. For the rest of the week, campers will get a 30-minute lesson from our 2 certified swim instructors to turn your minnows into sharks!
Torch Theatre ImprovCost: $25Session 5

For the theatrical campers, those with a sense of humor, or those that like performing for others! This exciting experience will enforce positive communication, creativity, and collaboration skills. We will finish it off by putting it all together with a stand-up performance!
