Wellness @ ASU prides itself in providing certification opportunities with the American Red Cross.

Completion of these certifications can bring students and staff professional opportunities, develop leadership skills, and the confidence to act as a leader in an emergency situation. 

 

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer/Healthcare Provider with first aid

This course offers certification in American Red Cross

  • Standard First Aid
  • Responding to breathing emergencies
  • Adult, Infant, and Child CPR
  • Two- Person CPR
  • Automated External Defibrillation(AED)
  • Two year certification

The course combines discussions and videos with hands-on skills training to that allows participants to actively learn and practice skills.  This course is based on real-life rescue scenarios and lessons that reinforce decision-making skills to help first responders be confident in acting in the event of an emergency.

Cost:

  • Students: $60
  • Non-student Members: $70
  • Non-members: $80

CPR/AED/First Aid Review Course

Is your CPR certification about to expire? If you need to update your certification, this course is for you. This course provides recertification in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid by American Red Cross. In order to be eligible to take this course you must present your current certification at the beginning of the class.  

This course offers certification in American Red Cross

Adult CPR/AED and First Aid

This course offers certification in American Red Cross:

  • Please note that this class does not include infant or child CPR

This program is only offered for current ASU students, faculty and staff.

Wilderness First Aid

This course teaches First Aid principles and skills so individuals can respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate medical care. These areas include the wilderness and remote environments.

Current Adult CPR/AED or higher certification and basic swim skills are required prerequisites for this course.
