Combat Sports

Polytechnic Campus

The Sun Devil Combat Sports Program is a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) training facility, located on the ASU Polytechnic campus. The MMA curriculum consists of the following components: Boxing, Muay Thai, Submission Grappling, Close Quarter Combat Training, Arnis Stick Fighting, and Functional Strength & Conditioning.  Students often attend multiple classes to give themselves a well-rounded education and training experience in combat sports and martial arts.

You are welcome to observe classes during our training hours. If you are an ASU student, the cost of training is free. If you are not an ASU student, the cost is a non-student recreation fee. Interested students can start and/or stop their training at any time.

Classes include Strength Training, Boxing, Muay Thai, Submission Grappling, MMA Performance Training, Stick Fighting, and Self-Defense.

The Sun Devil Fitness Complex mat room is able to accommodate combat sports training. Top of the line heavy bags, speedbags, crash mat, throwing dummies, strength training equipment and all the other gear you'd expect to find in a quality combat sports gym are available.

The SDFC features a complete line of plate-loaded, and selectorized equipment, free weights, functional strength equipment, as well as a selection of high-quality cardio equipment.
