This course is an introduction to movement fundamentals through stretching and strengthening exercises developed nearly 100 years ago by Joseph Pilates. Pilates techniques strengthen and tone muscles, improve posture, provides flexibility and balance, unite body and mind, and create a more streamlined shape. Breath is primary in pilates work. It helps increase circulation and aids in your ability to focus on your core muscles, your abdominals and back.
