Base Camp

Base Camp DescriptionThis is our long-standing traditional day camp that is an action-packed sports and activity summer camp for children. Join us for all ten or just a one-week session. Your kids will swim every day, engage in safe physical activity, participate in a variety of sports and games focused on fitness, enjoy different and creative theme weeks and make lots of new friends.

Base Camp Hours

  • Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Camp programming hours are from 9 a.m.– 4 p.m.
  • Location:
    • Polytechnic: Sun Devil Fitness Complex 7332 Sun Devil Mall Mesa, AZ 85212
    • Tempe: South end of the Sun Devil Fitness Complex, located on the corner of Apache Blvd. and Normal Ave. 400 E. Apache Blvd. Tempe, AZ 85287-1412
    • West: Sun Devil Fitness Complex 13351 N. 47th Ave. Glendale, AZ 85306
  • Camper Drop off: 7:30 a.m.–9 a.m. Parent/Guardian must sign in each child they drop off.
  • Camper Pick Up: 4–5:30 p.m. Campers must be picked up and signed out by a parent or authorized person by 5:30 p.m. for full day camp and 1 p.m. for half-day camp. All parents/guardians who do not pick up their child(ren) by 5:30 p.m. (or 1 p.m. half day) will be charged $2 per child, per minute they are late.

Base Camp Fees

To reserve a spot, a deposit of $35 per child is required, per camper, for each season. The deposit will be deducted from the balance for each session. Parents/guardians can pay the remaining balance on Friday or Monday prior to the start of each upcoming session. Please note that a $10 late fee will be assessed if payment is not made the first Monday of the session by 9 a.m. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. At the time of registration, parents/guardians may also choose to pay the full amount of each session or pay by blocks.

  • Camp fees are per session, per child.
  • All prices are subject to change.

Cash, check or Discover/VISA/MasterCard may be used (no ASU payroll deduction).

 

Base Camp Registraction Fee

All families will be charged a one-time-only $25 fee per child at the time of registration.

No refunds on registration fees.

ASU faculty and staff members may join the Sun Devil Fitness Complex for $100. Faculty/staff memberships must have an active summer membership to get the membership pricing. ASU payroll deduction may be used for Sun Devil Fitness Complex memberships only. Non-faculty/staff memberships may be established by joining the ASU Alumni Association for $50, plus Sun Devil Fitness Complex alumni membership fee. You need not be an ASU alum to join. Quest Programs 

Quest Programs offer supplementary adventures kids can enjoy, in addition to the activities provided through our Sun Devil Kids' Camp base camp. Quest Programs activities are designed to add extra excitement to your child's week at camp. Here are the details:

  • Kids can choose from an array of outings.
  • All Quest Programs have a different price and length.
  • Transportation to and from event provided.
  • Sign up for Quest Programs at registration.
  • Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis by families enrolled in the Sun Devil Kids' Camp program. Space is limited and fills up fast!
  • No refunds or transfers.
