The Sun Devil Fitness and Wellness Complex is now offering American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Adult First Aid/CPR/AED courses to ASU affiliated students, staff, and faculty. In order to provide a safe class experience we are following all ASU and American Red Cross guidelines for lowering the risk of disease transmission during our classes including, but not limited to:
All participants are required to bring their own mask to class and provide proof of completion of their ASU Daily Health Check upon entering the SDFWC.

All of our classes are now offered in a Blended Learning format. In order to receive certification for the class you are required to complete online pre-class work through the American Red Cross and attend an in-person class. This teaching format decreases the amount of in-person learning required for certification.
In order to access the online content for your course please look for an email from our Safety Education staff up to a week prior to your in-person class date. If you have any questions about the content please contact Joey LaNeve at jlaneve@asu.edu
We offer private CPR/AED and First Aid Classes at a reduced price for ASU affiliated departments, organizations and summer camps that fit your group's needs. You must have a group of at least 5 committed participants.

SDFW Classes are currently only offered to ASU students, faculty, and staff. In order to register please visit our Fitness Online registration site. Sign in with your ASURITE information and select "CPR & Wellness Classes". Choose the class type you are looking for and register for the date that fits best in your schedule.
This American Red Cross course provides certification in
The course combines discussions and videos with hands-on skills training that allows participants to actively learn and practice skills. This course is based on real-life rescue scenarios and lessons that reinforce decision-making skills to help first responders be confident in acting in the event of an emergency. This certification is valid for 2 years.

Is your CPR certification about to expire? If you need to update your certification, this course is for you. This course provides recertification in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid by the American Red Cross. In order to be eligible to take this course you must present your current certification at the beginning of the class. Certifications that have expired within 30 days from the last day of the course are still valid for recertification.

This course teaches First Aid principles and skills so individuals can respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate medical care. These areas include the wilderness and remote environments. In order to be successful in the class you must attend both class days, actively participate in all scenarios, and pass the final written exam.
Current Adult CPR/AED or higher certification is required prerequisites for this course.
