Sun Devil Fitness Complex - Tempe

On Aug. 21, 1989, Arizona State University demonstrated its dedication to healthy lifestyles and exercise by opening the Student Recreation Complex. The Sun Devil Fitness Complex (SDFC), as it is now known, consists of indoor activity space, as well as outdoor fields and courts. The SDFC is intended for use by the ASU community and offers a variety of memberships. The 2013 expansion of the SDFC Tempe continues to support healthy lifestyles, further engage students and build community through enhanced recreation and wellness programming in fitness, intramurals, sport clubs, aquatics and drop-in play. Included in the project was an additional state-of-the-art weight and fitness area, including cardiovascular and strength equipment, and free weights; two multipurpose studios for group fitness classes and student sport/activity clubs; both a three-court and a two-court gymnasium for sports and campus events; a multi-activity court (MAC) gymnasium; a wellness suite for massage, meditation, and other wellness programs and services.
